This year marks the 20th edition of Latvia’s largest class-bonding festival, the “Čē Čē Čempionāts” championship, which will bring together students from across Latvia for a three-day final in various age groups in the Blue Mountains, Ogre, at the end of May.

The Rural Support Service (RSS) is participating in the event as a partner once again this year, introducing young people to the EU’s ‘Milk and Fruit for Schools’ programme. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in activities organised by “Milk and Fruit for Schools” on healthy eating, enjoy ice cream to fuel them for the upcoming challenges of the championship, and use the interactive photo zone to capture the most memorable moments of the event.

On their way to the finals, classes participate in several qualifying rounds, completing creative and team-building tasks, some of which are prepared by ‘Milk and Fruit for Schools’. This year’s theme is all about spending time together away from screens, encouraging students to strengthen friendships, collaborate and come up with ideas for meaningful activities to enjoy with their classmates.

The “Čē Čē Čempionāts”  championship is not only a place where students compete, but also a place where they experience being together, strengthen their relationships and create lasting memories. The Rural Support Service’s involvement in the event enhances this experience by providing educational activities on healthy eating and offering practical, youth-oriented solutions for everyday life.
